How to Setup a new Sub-Site

It’s actually not that hard and we  can show you how with pictures to illustrate just in case you need a visual. Just follow the instructions below and you will have your own wordpress site up and running in minutes.

There are two parts, one is your Account Registration the other is your Sub-site Registration.

Creating Your Account

First click this link https://pixelinity.com/wp-signup.php

This is what you will see…

Username: This is where you will enter a username for your account that you will login with.

Email Address: This is where you will enter the email that will receive notifications from WordPress and you can also use to login instead of Username.

Options…

  • Give me a site! This is the default option that you will want to setup your very own wordpress sub-site (pick this!).
  • Just a username, please This option will allow you to create an account but not give you a wordpress site (you can set one up later though if you wish).

 

After you have filled in the information click the “NEXT” button.

Creating Your Sub-Site

The next page you will see is this…

Site Name: This is where you will enter a sub-site domain name, you can put your name, your company name or whatever you want. No spaces, www, .com or pixelinity required, just a name that’s all

Site Title: This is where you will enter a short description of what your website is about.

Site Language: The default is English-Canada, however you can choose whatever language you like.

Privacy…

  • Yes This is the default option that you will want to make sure your site is visible on search engines like Google (pick this!).
  • No This option will make sure your site cannot be found in search engines

 

After you have filled in the information click the “SIGNUP” button.

The Final Result

After you have completed the above steps, you will be presented with a confirmation page like this…

*IMPORTANT: At this point you have created an account with us and created your WordPress sub-site installation but like it states above that you still need to activate so check your email.

The first email from us will be the activation one, click the link inside that looks like this…

When you click the link it should open your browser and display a page like this…

Your account is now active!

Your site at pixelinity.com is active. You may now log in to your site using your chosen username of “yourname”. Please check your email inbox at you@yourmail.com for your password and login instructions. If you do not receive an email, please check your junk or spam folder. If you still do not receive an email within an hour, you can reset your password.

Now go back to your email and check for a new email that was just sent to you after you completed the activation

You can log in to the administrator account with the following information:
Username: yourname
